Recently I acquired a remarkable antique pincushion. It is in the shape of a heart, covered with hot-pink fabric, beaded motifs and intricate beaded fringe. It is dated 1946. Just holding the pincushion evokes a magical connection to the past and our mothers and grandmothers who created so many beutiful things for their families and homes. This design is a tribute to all the women who create beauty within their busy lives."
